Trekking: In India the Himalayan foothills are ideal for trekking, offering energetic out-door people a different and exciting option for a holiday. The Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttaranchal are the most popular destinations for trekking, though Chamba and Manali in Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh and Zanskar in Jammu and Kashmir, other trekking centers in India are Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu and Kangra valleys in Himachal Pradesh and in northern Uttar Pradesh, North of Rishikesh. Darjeeling in West Bengal, Yuksam in Sikkim, and Leh in Ladakh.The biggest challenge for the climbers is in the Garhwal Himalayas, the Zanskar range in Jammu & Kashmir, Kullu & Lahaul in Himachal Pradesh have interesting trekking routes as well.

Ganges River Rafting - Adventure At Its Best.

Rafting through the Ganges is an above the world experience, which attracts large number of the rafters. The Ganges River rafting begins at a very calm spot, where river rafters can enjoy some easy racing adventure. As the river approaches the rapids, the riders have to very alert and have to put all their concentration on-board and man oeuvre the oars in a well-planned fashion.

Mountain Climbing: Indian Himalayas offer varied climbing options for the adventure lovers, right from easier to most challenging peaks. The mountains peaks around Manali in Himachal Pradesh are ideal for beginners. There are several groups of many majestic peaks across the Rohtang pass at the Lahaul region. The peaks rising up to an altitude of 6,500 meter comprise some of the most challenging peaks, easy snow-covered peaks or rocky peaks. The state of Jammu & Kashmir houses popular peaks namely Kolahoi (5425 m) and Harmukh (5148 m) which offer an opportunity for fast alpine climbing. The Kishtwar region is known for its popular peaks like Sickle Moon, Arjuna and Flat Top extending up to a height of 6,000 meter above sea level. Ladakh is major attraction for its climber, as it has challenging mountain peaks extending above 7,000 meter. Some of the famous mountain peaks of the region include Zanskar (6,150 m), Kun (7,077 m) and Nun (7,135 m) mountains. The state of Uttaranchal offers some of the most challenging peaks like Shivlinga (6,542 m), Meru (6,540 m) and Kedarnath (6937 m).

Adventure Sports in Andaman & Nicobar: Andaman Nicobar Islands offer several opportunities for adventure water sports like scuba diving, skiing, sailing, parasailing, wind surfing, snorkeling along with the options of trekking through their dense evergreen forests and island camping in the beach front forests.

ITALY: Sardinia; Ghost Villages, Moderate Biking Tour.

Mines, abandoned villages, canyons, the sea and naturally mountain biking in this tour that will let you discover a piece of a lesser known Sardinia.

 

 

Sample Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Cagliari - Independent arrival in Cagliari in the late afternoon or evening. Meeting with staff, delivery of the material, and transfer to Iglesias. Accommodation at the hotel, briefing and free time

Day 02: Ghost Villages - On a bike to discover abandoned villages in southwest Sardinia! Passing the Grotte di San Giovanni, you will enter into the forest of Marganai; maybe one of Europe's biggest Mediterranean natural forests, and from there, continue along the path where you can explore abandoned villages and mines. Arrival in the late evening at your accomodation close to the natural caves of Su Mannau. By bike aprox 35 kms - Total Ascent 1050.

Day 03: The mine in the woods - Still more mines, vegetation and fun in a stretch that towards day's end will bring you to Montevecchio, one of the most interesting and organized mining villages of Sardinia's mining adventures, able to give you a glimpse of what life was like two centuries ago. By bike aprox 37 kms - Total Ascent 1100 m.

Day 04: The montains of sand - From Montevecchio, a ring-shaped excursion where woods, the sea and mountains blend in with the extraordinary landscape of the Costa Verde (or Green Coast). A primitive coast where the ochre coloured dunes of Piscinas stand out; mounds of sand modelled by the wind and time that with their 250 metre (asl) peaks outline a unique landscape for Sardinia.By bike aprox 38 kms - Total Ascent 800 m.

Day 05: The silence of the time - With your bike you will go through the ruins of Naracauli and Ingurtosu where lead, zinc and silver were once extracted from the mines. The village of Ingurtosu, nestled along a slope is an interesting example of a nineteenth century mining settlement characterized by the neo-Gothic building that once housed the Mining administration. Arrival in your hotel in the evening with a beautiful view of the sea of Portixeddu and Capo Pecora that both represent the southernmost boundary of the Costa Verde. By bike aprox 31 kms - Total Ascent 650 m.

Day 06: The pan di zucchero - From Capo Pecora to Nebida, our trip continues discovering mining settlements! After Buggerru, small mining village once known as Petit Paris (or Little Paris) due to the intellectual cultural environment that the mining executives recreated during the mine's golden period, you will continue until you reach Cala Domestica, a delightful inlet made up of two beaches that are connected to each other by a tunnel dug out by the miners. Late evening arrival at Nebida, small village with a view of the white rock of the Pan di zucchero(sugarloaf).By bike aprox 40 kms - Total Ascent 800m

Day 07: Towards Villa di Chiesa - More discoveries and mountainbiking fun in this connecting stretch that will finally bring you to Iglesias; medieval city and important centre for the entire mining district. In the city do not forget to visit the Museo dell'arte Mineraria (Museum of Mining Arts) and the tunnels dug out during the last century by the students of the Istituto Tecnico Minerario (Technical Institute of Mining) which were also used as a refuge during World War II. Meeting with the representatives in the afternoon and transfer to Cagliari. By bike aprox 30 kms - Total Ascent 600 m.

Day 08: Departure - Our services end after breakfast. Greetings and departure ory by request you may extend your stay to enjoy a few days of relax by the sea.
